Who are you and what do you do?
I am a painter.
A Sense of the Vapid, Annaliese, oil & gesso on linen, 1300 x 950mm
What gets you up in the morning?
The beautiful view of the Mission Dolores Church from my apartment window in San Francisco.
What inspires your work?
A beautiful girl I see when I'm out and about, romance novel illustrations, 60's French pop films and western literature from around the 1930's to 1970's. I just moved to America so the narrative and films I experience here will influence the next series of paintings I make.
What is your most exciting achievement?
It is so exciting to have my worked displayed at Ruby Boutique because I love RUBY & own so many of their beautiful clothes!
Tell us about your school ball dress?
My last school ball dress I had a slinky silver dress that was very Claire Danes (it was 1999) with a high boat neck and low back line. I had my mother delicately eyelash glue iridescent silver glitter and stars to make a little galaxy trailing down my back...matched with a Joan from Madmen type up-do and frosted makeup.
Make us a playlist of three songs that you have on repeat at the moment...
