as of today (monday 23rd march), our IRL stores will close, reopening once new zealand has stabilised and the alert level lowered.

our online store will stay open 24/7 and you can continue to shop online with us.

for the next four weeks – wow it’s surreal to type that – stick with us in the virtual world (link to @rubytakessnaps) where we will be sharing activities to help keep your body and mind healthy. we would love to hear from you all about what you’re doing to keep your spirits up also!

some things i invite you all to think about:

i want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the health care professionals and others who are working on the front line to ensure minimal harm to our communities from this virus.

this is a situation unlike any of us have experienced before, and one that can trigger great anxiety. i urge to talk with your loved ones, or utilise one of the excellent (and free!) mental health hotlines such as lifeline: 0800 54 33 54 or youthline: 0800 376 633.

now more than ever it's important to support your local businesses and artists. a band that you had tickets to go see? find them on bandcamp and support them that way. disappointed that you won't see an author you admire at the writers' festival? buy their book for a friend! where possible, keep it up!

i’ve noticed that the language that people like jacinda ardern have started to use is about PHYSICAL distancing, instead of SOCIAL distancing. it’s an important distinction. we absolutely need to stay connected with each other and we are lucky that we have the technology to do this (just make sure that you use technology in a healthy way!).

and while i realise for some who have loved ones affected (or potentially affected) by covid-19, or are feeling very anxious it may be too soon, i think that it is important to take the opportunity to start thinking about how we can use this massive culture shift as a way to start thinking about how we want to shape the world once we have come through this. notice the changes that you are making in your life, and that are happening around you - some of them you might find you want to continue on with. things like working from home, consuming less, making regular phone calls to your aunt that you love, minimising air travel.

i’m asking myself what I am going to learn from this, how I can contribute differently and who I want to be once I get to emerge from my cocoon.

Auckland Central Same Day Delivery

  • For residents in Auckland central, our online store offers a 1 hour and 3 hour same day delivery service.
  • Same day delivery is only available on weekdays and is not available on public holidays. The item/items ordered must be in stock at your local store to be eligible for same day delivery. Use the Stock Availability chart on each product page to check the availability of the item/items.
  • The time frame is quoted by our courier company and may vary slightly due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Orders need to be placed before 12pm on business days (same day delivery is not available on public holidays or weekends) to allow for processing and delivery of your order.
  • Please provide a phone number that you can be contacted on within the delivery timeframe. If the driver cannot find you they will call you on this number to try and complete the delivery.
